WHO & WHAT?
Blackbird Music was started in 1998 by four guys that believed that music by independent artists was 10x's better than anything the mainstream was doing. We then set out to take the local scene by storm. We have been described as "Evil, Power Hungry Creeps, hell bent on world domination" and well... it is a pretty accurate view.
Blackbird Music has been a promoter, booking agency, management, record label, and distribution company over the years. However we have done some re-evaluating of what we and our artists need most so once again we head back to our roots as an artist management company that may sometimes put albums out for the artists we work with.
We would love to be a full time record label once again but since our mission has always been artist development, we needed to focus more on growing our artists than album sales. We think this is the best direction for us to head as a company and we hope you agree with us.
